The object of the game is to capture the opponent's king.
When the king is under attack, we say Ouk or Ruk meaning check in Khmer.
If the king is not able to avoid the capture, we say Ouk Gnub or Ruk Gnub

Then the game is over.
Sometimes, neither player can capture the opponent's king; in this case it is a draw.
